ART OF THE STATE
For the first time in a long time, Landon actually went to every morning class. Even went back to his class after lunch. It was very unlike him to actually go to every class and honestly he was worn down. As the bell sounded and everyone stood up Landon marched with the others out of the narrow door into the crowded hall way. Voice from all around filled the hall way. He remembered now why he hated school and being there all day. Walking in the opposite direction of his next class, Landon pushed through people and pushed out of the closest set of doors. He ended up walking out to the schools court yard. Quite a few other people had already beat him out there. and from the looks of it all of the places to sit down had been scooped up. He continued to walk, and he knew eyes followed him. That was nothing new. At the edge of the court yard there was a vacant table under a tree with just the right amount of shade and just enough sun. Tossing his backpack on the table Landon sat down and pulled his phone out of his back pocket checking the time. It was almost two in the afternoon.
Looking around Landon looked back by the school doors. Seniors were still sitting around the tables with friends, and books and binders obviously studying for a tests and such. Shaking his head he reached his hand in his backpack and pulled his Dr.Pepper out, twisted the cap off and took a quick drink. Looking at his phone again he noticed he had a few texts he took a second to read through them stopping read one of them a second time. It was about a deal. Grinning a bit Landon shook his hair away from his eyes and text back "yeah i have the money, I'll pick it up later tonight,I'm busy." after pressing send, he placed his phone down on the table and drank away at his soda. He was stuck with a decision now... go back to class, or ditch and do something excited to kill time. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Tags / evangalinna Words / not enough Clothes / here Notes / really sucky post im so sorry haha

The day seemed to have gone by slower than usual. Some how, her first class seemed to have lasted about two hours, her second class about the same, then her third class felt like three hours long. Then of course, lunch, which had so far been her favorite part of the day. Sadly, that part of the day passed in what seemed like thirty minutes, which was not nearly long enough in her opinion. Then came the supposed fun half of her day. Music, more music, and maybe some more music later on. Yup, that was supposed to be the good part of her day.
For the most part, it was. Why then, you ask, was she walking the courtyard at two o'clock, when there was still another class? The answer was simple. Eva was for once ahead of her class, so she had decided to use this time to catch up in some of her other classes. She was smart, and kept her grades up so that she could participate in her extra curriculars, but sometimes she focused too much on her own music and forgot to do some of her assignments. They all got in on time still, but some assignments were not as good as others.
She looked around the busy courtyard, surprised at how many people were apparently ditching classes this afternoon. Why did people like ditching class so much? She didn't see the draw. With a small sigh she moved towards a table that didn't appear to be full. "You mind?" She asked, placing the blank music sheets in her hand on the table.

ART OF THE STATE
Landon sure was in his own little world. Head down on the table now, letting the breeze sweep past and over him. He really wasn't expecting company, honestly he really didn't want any. His high from his last line of coke was wearing off and he was clean out of the stuff. That being the reason his phone continued to vibrate even though he tried his hardest to end the conversation. He really didn't have the money at the moment. He didn't make a whole lot of money. Landon worked on cars at his uncles shop part time. Or really when ever he decided he needed money because his uncle always paid him that day, in cash. Landon wasn't a super book smart person, but when it came to the real world, he knew what he was doing. He could take care of himself. He was very street smart. His phone vibrated once more, and he groaned sliding his hand out from under his forehead. Gripping the iphone he pulled his head up and looked at the screen. The message was a not too pleasant one but he blew it off anyway. then a voice came from the opposite side of him. His body almost jumped in shock but he held his ground and sat up turning his body toward her.
"No..." he said slowly, as he studied her. She'd placed blank music sheets down on the table. She had wavy blonde hair. Pale skin and she looked young. Well younger than him anyway. Not the type of girl he would usually find himself hanging out with. But obviously she was friendly because she walked right up to him and took a seat. Landon looked around the court yard for a moment then back at the girl. "I'm Landon" he finally spoke as he took off his hat placing it on top of his backpack as he shook his hair out of his eyes. "I can't say I've seen you around before. " that was because he hated being at school. "Don't you have a class to get to?" he didn't mean to sound rude but just judging the book by its cover she didn't like like the type that skipped class regularly. Especially to strike up conversations with strangers.
"I don't mean to sound like a dick. I'm just curious" he said trying to be a little nicer. He knew he was just annoyed because the high coming down. Clearing his throat he sat up a little more and took another drink of his Dr.Pepper. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Tags / Evangelina Words / 421 Clothes / here Notes / little better!
