f.a.q.
this thread is here to better explain the idea and thought process behind the student network. if you have any further questions about it, feel free to PM my account. i designed and coded the entire thing from scratch, therefore, there may still be a few kinks that need to be worked out. if you notice any, feel free to message me about it and i'll try to fix it as soon as possible.
what is the student network?
the student network is an interactive social networking site for our characters, built on the site itself. it may look like it's a completely separate site, but it's really not.
do i have to participate?
absolutely not! if you don't want to participate in the student network, you do not have to. we promise we won't be angry if you don't. it's just an option so that you can have your character interact with others in another way.
claims.
plain and simple, if you don't make your claims, you have lost the right to them if someone else comes in and uses them, but claims them before you. basically, it's a first come, first serve basis. face claims are to be humans. they can be celebrities and/or models. none from deviantart or anything like that though.
there is one exception to this rule though. all brand new members have 24 hours to make their claims. the admins will allow this time frame to protect your claims for you so that you can make them. we understand that you may not be online when your application is accepted, that's why we give you this time frame. after 24 hours, your claims are your own responsibility.
graphics.
signatures are required, avatars are not. signatures should be no wider than 465 pixels and taller than 300px. avatars can be two specific sizes, 100x100 pixels or 150x200 or anything in-between.
word count.
the word count is 200 as a minimum. end of story.
posting.
spelling and grammar is important on this site. we don't want to be reading a post and need to have a translator in order to depict it. also, to keep everything in order, let's post in the third person point of view, past tense.
fighting.
don't do it. it's that easy. if you don't like someone, then don't talk to them. if someone starts a fight with you, don't fight back, report it, with evidence, to an admin! we'll take care of it better than you can, trust us.
pressuring people to RP.
if you want to role play with someone, post in their plot page or ask them in the chatbox. if they politely decline, there's probably a good reason behind it. if you are role playing with someone, but they haven't replied back, give them three days before kindly reminding them about it. do not hassle them about it or you'll receive a warning. hassle someone too much and it's considered harassment.
